What is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday is a 2005 marketing initiative by the online store shop.org. This date was created to allow customers to shop online. It is the first Monday that occurs immediately after Black Friday. Cyber Monday is known as the online shopping day in the US with very attractive deals and discounts. Customers can easily choose discounted products to order. With the current development of the Internet, ordering becomes easy from anywhere such as at the home, office, or in cafe. This is also considered the kick-off day for the US Internet shopping season between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Therefore, it is considered an important holiday not only in the UK, USA, and Canada but also in some other countries around the world.
As usual, Cyber Monday this year will take place on November 28, 2022, the first Monday after the week of Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
How is Cyber Monday different from Black Friday?
-
Cyber Monday Has a Greater Online Focus: Cyber Monday solely focuses on online sales, whereas Black Friday sells both in-store and online.
-
Shipping: Shipping costs may be more important to consider while shopping on Cyber Monday because it is a more online-focused day than Black Friday. With or without a minimum purchase restriction, many companies provide free delivery on Cyber Monday, but not all of them do. And keep in mind that while purchasing online on Cyber Monday, you may frequently save money by choosing in-store or curbside pickup.
-
Time to prepare: Deals are frequently promoted weeks before Black Friday, giving you plenty of time to prepare. Although there won't be many advertisements on Cyber Monday, the bargains that day will likely be more unexpected.
-
Scale: The key distinction between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, though, is that whereas Black Friday is mostly for big retailers, Cyber Monday is for smaller ones.
-
Cyber Monday occurs more quickly: Door-to-door sales on Cyber Monday don't require a line, but they often come and go quickly. Many of the best offers only last for a day or two, and other things with extremely low stock can sell out in a matter of hours or even minutes.
-
On Cyber Monday, price comparisons are simpler: It can be challenging to compare the pricing of numerous vendors when you go shopping in-store. Comparing pricing on Cyber Monday, however, is as simple as opening a new tab and conducting a search.
-
Category: While Black Friday this year appears to be better for buying cameras, tablets, laptops, toys, appliances, and tools, Cyber Monday is the best day to buy Android phones, kitchenware, footwear, beauty products, and possibly TVs.
-
Organization: It appears that more businesses will be required to conduct a Black Friday event. A lot of structure is required for dealing with the public, marketing, staffing retail locations, and advertising. Planning for Cyber Monday will be a little easier. The shopping process will take place online, allowing customers to do their purchasing from any location, including their home, workplace, or place of recreation.
